Cattle grazing on Petersham Meadows, alongside the majestic sweep of the River Thames, have been the centrepiece of the world-famous view from Richmond Hill for centuries past.

The Petersham Trust has now been wound up because it has achieved all its charitable objectives due to the great generosity of its donors. The lease for Petersham Meadows has now been passed on to the National Trust so that the Meadows can remain a special place for succeeding generations to enjoy.
